Star Fish Tour
The Franc Mayne tour supplemented by an in-depth visit of the quarry tunnels, specially lit by scenographer Eric Le Collen, well-known for his recreation of the Battle of Castillon. This tour reveals the importance of the asteriated limestone plateau (rich in fossils, including starfish!) and an evocation of regional history with a presentation specially designed for the site.
The tour ends with a tasting of three wines from the estate.

After exploring our vineyard and discovering our know-how, we invite you to discover our 5 acres of underground galleries. Our history
Nestled against the “Côte de Franc”, the slope from which it gets its name, the Château Franc Mayne vineyard is made up of a single block of vines, deeply rooted in its sloping terroir and on the prestigious limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, 1 kilometre from the village.The estate offers unique wine tourism attractions with tours all year round, as well as a guest house nestling among the vines.
Tours include a walk through the vineyard and a visit to the vat room and the magical first year barrel cellar. Prior to tasting the wine, visitors discover the two hectares (5 acres) of underground quarries in which the wines are aged in the second year. Typical of the region, these galleries are among the largest open to the public in the appellation and feature a son et lumière show created by the scenographer Eric Le Collen.
Fully renovated in 2019, the pleasant 18th century château includes Le Relais Franc Mayne, offering five elegant bedrooms, one of which is a cabin perched in one of the cedar trees. Depending on the time and the season, the terrace and billiard room can be enjoyed, as well as the swimming pool for a refreshing dip.
Nestled in the privacy of its seven hectares of vines, Château Franc Mayne is an inspiration. Whether passing through or staying there, the view over the vineyard is not to be missed.

Un très beau domaine. Un accueil à la hauteur des lieux. Une guide très sympathique, très impliquée, qui connaît parfaitement l\'endroit, les méthodes, les personnes... Elle est passionnée et très intéressante. La visite est très bien organisée et très originale sans oublier la grande qualité des vins. Je recommande vivement.
La visite est remarquable par bien des aspects mais finalement le coeur de la raison d\'être du domaine, l\'élaboration du vin, ne fait pas l\'objet d\'explications techniques très approfondies.
Tres bonne visite et domaine magnifique avec une vue splendide. Notre guide Véronique était très gentille et le tour était très intéressant. Le seul point négatif était d’avoir une une traductrice qui traduisait en portugais à deux personnes alors que la langue choisie était le français - ça rendait la visite plus difficile à suivre à cause du bruit.
Very disappointing that at wine tasting we only had a glass to try 3 different wines! We could not compare the wines at same time. This was a poor experience. Adding 2 glasses per guest to perform the tasting will add much more value ! Please start to do so!
There were missing some finger food, we were after trip and starving having some cheese or ham with wine could be great The rest was very good

I visited with my parents during their first time in France and we absolutely loved the experience. Laëtitia was extremely hospitable, welcome us early, showing us around with enthusiasm and humor, and was very knowledgeable about the process, wine industry as well as answers to all of our questions. We were thrilled to come here, and I will plan on being back soon!

Our tour and tasting was a wonderful experience. We have toured lots of caves and this by far was the best cave & tour. The Roman road by the old post office was the an extraordinary piece of history and our favorite thing from our week in the Saint Emilion area.
