Château Villemaurine

We had a most enjoyable visit at Villemaurine with a lovely guide, Andrea. She was extremely knowledgeable, and had a lovely manner: friendly and good fun, and happy to answer any questions (excellent English too). Lovely interaction with all of the other people on the tour too. Highly recommend.

The host was extremely informative, kind and sweet.

Great visit. Very interesting. We were not there to buy but simply to enjoy the surroundings and learn a bit. Loved the bats in the cave!!

The guide William was welcoming, knowledgeable, amusing and a credit to his employer. The guided tour and tasting is highly recommended!

A unique experience, with a good summary of the history of the town as relating to the wine industry, added a bit more interest compared to a regular cellar visit.

Wonderful tour and tasting with William. He was very knowledgeable about the chateau’s history, its wines and the general history of St. Emilion. Loved the visit to the caves and learning how the city revolved around the stone caves. Very interesting! Loved the wines we sampled as well. Highly recommend the tour and tasting to real wine lovers and those interested in history.

Very comprehensive and informative tour.

The tour was interesting and very informative - we learned very much, being \'learners\' about wine production and vinyards. Our guide was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. We recommend it (specifically, the Privalige tour) highly.

Heritage tour was great. Very relaxed and welcoming. Our children aged 7 and 10 very much enjoyed the tour and seeing a glimpse of the galleries under the city. Beautiful wine which bought a bottle of to enjoy in our villa this evening.

Excellent tour! Fascinating to hear about St Emillion and its history, topped off with some fabulous wines.

We needed to cancel our booked tour and Sabine was so helpful fitting us into another tour so we could still taste the wine and visit the cellars. She was excellent as a guide and we would highly recommend a visit to this Chateau!

Beautiful explanation of the history of St. Emilion and its surrounding vineyards! Underground cellars looked majestic, wine tasted incredible… shame that I’m only allowed 4l to bring back to England!

Notre visite était incroyable, nous avons été très bien accueillis, même en étant les seules personnes lors de la visite du matin (en hiver, il y a moins de demande à ce moment-là). La personne qui nous a reçus a fait preuve d\'une grande patience et a expliqué tranquillement les détails techniques du vignoble pour que nous puissions comprendre (nous ne sommes pas francophones). La visite était excellente, nous avons pu découvrir un peu des règles et du processus de production de vin de la région, et nous avons été fascinés par les caves souterraines. Nous recommanderons certainement cet endroit.

Excellent, informative and fun tour, we have been on many wine tours and always learn something new, but the energy of our tour guide made everything feel new. Great visit to the caves as well which were more interesting compared to another that we saw in the area. Plus, the chateau is in a convenient location, and the wine was delicious. Will recommend!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Chateau Villemaurine, from the explanation of the wine making process to the tasting, our host made the whole experience excellent, and we will certainly be recommending the chateau to everyone at home.

The tour guides are exceptional. Other members of my party were too late for the tour, so they offered to do a tasting just for them whenever they arrived. They were very helpful, patient, and informative, and made the experience very special for us. Chateau Villemaurine was a real treat to visit, and I would recommend it to everyone. We did the from Vine to Wine tour and it was a great experience. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, and was very good at answering questions. The content of the tour was interesting, with just the right amount of information. The highlight is definitely the tasting session at the end overlooking the vineyard.

Stacey was an amazing guide and taught us so much! The cellar/caverns were stunning and fascinating, and the wine was fantastique!

We ended up having the guided tour to ourselves as others didn\'t show. Our guide was very good, the limestone quarries under the vineyards are a sight to see! Overall a nice tour worth doing.

We booked this tour and wine tasting as we had arranged a day trip to St Emilion from Bordeaux. We enjoyed an intimate and informative tour followed by wine tasting. The experience was great and we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting St Emilion. The Chateau is within a 5 minute walk from the town of At Emilion. Such a great day!

We zijn uitstekend ontvangen door een dame wiens naam ik jammer genoeg vergeten ben. We kregen een interessante en persoonlijke rondleiding en degustatie van 1,5u. Op al onze vragen werd geantwoord en de dame pauzeerde ook af en toe zodat we waar nodig konden vertalen voor onze kinderen. De onderaardse kelders zijn natuurlijk het hoogtepunt van het bezoek en geven een grote meerwaarde tegenover andere châteaux in Saint-Emilion. Het bezoek is zijn geld meer dan waard en de wijn is, zoals men mag verwachten, excellent.

Très bon moment passé lors de la visite privilège avec Karine, notre guide. Une visite et des explications de qualité. Les cavernes souterraines sont très belles, un meilleur éclairage les mettraient encore davantage en valeur. Pour finir, Karine a su nous mettre a l\'aise lors de la dégustation.
